About

I study multimodal alignment with common sense — how models connect what they see and read to the way the world actually works.

I am currently a PhD student at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, working under the supervision of Professor Emile van Krieken, Professor Filip Ilievski and Professor Shujian Yu. My research focuses on Multimodal Alignment with Common Sense.

Previously, I worked as a Machine Learning Engineer, developing recommendation systems for shopping malls and managed the Customer Data Platform. Before that, I earned my Master’s in Computer Science at Virginia Tech, conducting research on detecting disinformation under the guidance of Professor Chris Thomas. My work involved developing language models using RLHF and PPO, and integrating cross-modal information into knowledge graphs for fine-grained detection of real and fake information.
